This Halloween, I plan on treating myself to the best part of this spo0o0oky holiday season. And obviously that means boycotting drafty, scandalous, on-trend costumes (the likes of Nicki Minaj and all things trick). Quartino Bottega Organica, on Bleecker, near Bowery. Cute, quiet, little Italian eatery. Organic, local, seasonal, simple. Not for meals with friends who are picky eaters, but perfect for a light and lazy lunch.

One toddy, two ways.
1. oz whiskey
1/4 lemon
1 T honey
1 tea bag
1 C boiling water
Coat bottom of mug with honey. In goes the whiskey. In goes the juice of ze lemon. In goes the tea bag. Kettle on the stove. In goes the boiling water. Stir. Put a cinnamon stick in that thang. Enjoy.
